Picture Caption Friday

This is a picture that was sent to me a while back by a reader:

Every time I look at this picture I cry a little bit inside. I can't even blame Argentinean heritage on this because I know no self-respecting Argentinean would make their family dress like this.

I see three generations of people who are forever stuck with psychiatrist bills.

Porque? Why do this to your little children? Why?

My caption: "A psychiatrist's dream."

Yours?

Mucho Amor,

El Guapo

I bet the kid on the right rebels against his family values and culture and grows up to create his own blog persona of a Guatemalan with a beautiful mustache

To Question Girl --- that is a boy child in the mommas arms....so I guess the caption might read, "The Making of a Homosexual"

To: FIW -- I laughed so loud I almost got in trouble here at work!

I can't decide my favorite part of this photo...Is it the matching sparkly shirts? Is it the wine and roses atop a grand piano, enveloping the entire family in an aura of sophistication and style? The fancy pink lighting? Or the way the backdrop drops down at the corner of the photo?

Isn't that Barbara Bush? ;)

woozie - i KNOW its a boy child in mom's arms - but he is young enough that mom dressed him - he is so young that he still doesn't know what is going on, so his opinion doesnt count (yet)

Oh, come on.. Because he is the 'Ey-Man'! Lol

But, hold your horses, he has a sparkle tie!

I bet the wife wanted him in one of these nut case suits as well. After a big fight (that is why she has so much make -up) he compromised by wearing this tie..

Man. Some risk putting the pic on your blog. It would scare people away?

You guys are really mean. So this family wanted to dress like this. So what? Yet you think it's OK to mock them and what you suspect their beliefs are?

You use the words "trailer trash," yet probably think using other ethnic and racial slurs is among the highest evils -- something only "trailer trash" does.

El Guapo, I expected better from you.

Blame me and my curiosity to come over from waiterrant and read your blog, but you have a sunk to a new low.

So, a well meaning reader sends you a picture of their family and you put it up on your blog, make fun of them and leave it on so more people can do so.

Anyone who dresses their family in matching barbie-castoffs deserves public ridicule. Hopefully they will see this and realize that it is NEVER okay to sparkle across generations.

Wow. I didn't mean to upset. For the record, the reader who sent this to me sent it, because he thought it was funny. I agreed. So did many of you.

Just remember, come into mi cama and I'll make everything allright.
